Mailroom

A fast, native Mac app for Gmail and Google Workspace. Your mail goes only between Google and your Mac. There are no Mailroom servers in between.

Coming soon to the Mac App Store

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

What Mailroom does

Everything you do in Gmail, in a Mac app built for speed and keyboard shortcuts, plus tools that keep your inbox under control.

Your whole inbox

A unified inbox across accounts, with conversations, Gmail labels and categories, and instant search.

Write and send

Rich-text compose, send-as aliases, signatures, Undo Send, and drafts saved to Gmail.

Calendar invites

RSVP to an invitation from the message and see that day's agenda beside it.

Contact suggestions

Addresses from Google Contacts, Other contacts and Apple Contacts as you type.

Gmail settings

Manage labels, filters, the vacation responder and signatures without opening a browser.

Tracker blocking

Tracking pixels and known tracker domains are blocked, so senders can't see when you read their mail.

Split InboxPRO

Tabs above the Inbox for VIPs, your team, newsletters, receipts, or any Gmail search.

ScreenerPRO

Mail from first-time senders waits for you to allow or block them.

Sender CleanupPRO

See who sends you the most mail, then unsubscribe, archive or auto-archive in one click.

Snooze and Send LaterPRO

Bring a conversation back when you need it, or schedule a message to go out later.

Follow-up RemindersPRO

If nobody replies by the time you choose, the conversation comes back to the top of your Inbox.

Privacy Report and Link SafetyPRO

See which senders track you, and get warnings about look-alike or misleading links before you open them.

Why Mailroom needs access to your Google data

Mailroom is a Gmail app, so it asks Google for permission to work with your mail, your Gmail settings, your contacts and your calendar. Each permission is used only for the features below.

PermissionWhat Mailroom uses it for

Read, compose, send and organize your Gmail messages
gmail.modify
Showing your mail, sending replies and new messages, saving drafts, applying labels, archiving, moving to Trash, Snooze, Send Later, Screener and Sender Cleanup. Mailroom never permanently deletes mail.
Manage your basic Gmail settings
gmail.settings.basic
Settings ▸ Filters, the vacation responder and signatures, plus the Gmail filters that Screener's Block and Sender Cleanup's Auto-Archive create.

See and change events on calendars you own
calendar.events.owned

Your Google data is used only to provide these features to you. It is fetched directly from Google to your Mac and cached only on your Mac. Mailroom has no servers that receive it, so it is never sold, never shared, never used for advertising, never used to train AI models, and never read by anyone else. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

Mailroom's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
